| Men's Club 2009 - Golf, South Bend Indiana
Men's Club is a new organized playing program we have introduced
at Blackthorn for our members and guests.
Beginning Friday, May 1st and continuing through September, we will offer Men's Club playing opportunities every Friday at 12:30 p.m., Saturday at 8:00 a.m., Sunday at 8:00 a.m. and Holiday's at 8:00 a.m.
Men's Club will offer our Members and Guests a chance to come out and play an organized "game". If you don't have a regular weekly game....you do now!!
Just call the golf shop, 574.232.4653, by Wednesday each week so we know how many tee times to set aside. You can play each day or just one day. You can play every week or once a month...it doesn't matter. Your commitment is just for that day, with all proceeds being paid out. If you are able to "cut out early" on Friday or "get the go ahead" Saturday or Sunday morning...call us on your way to the course we'll save you a spot. Each week we'll set aside enough "permanent tee times" for our Men's Club players....and an extra one for those that were able to join us at the spur of the moment.
Each Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be a separate "game" in and of itself. We will collect $20 from each player. $3 will be set aside for the year end "BLOWOUT EVENT", $4 for Par 3 proxies ($1 each), $3 for gross skins, $3 for net skins and $7 for the game. All proceeds will be paid out each day.
The games WILL be handicapped games. If you don't have a handicap you will play scratch until we establish you a Men's Club handicap. The games will be made up each day depending on the size of the field. Games to be played will include individual quota, 2BB, 3BB, Stableford, Pinehurst Alternate Shot, etc. If you have a format you enjoy please recommend it to the group.
Cost? Besides the $20 entry a Men's Club ONLY discount will be offered to participants. Green Fee, Cart Fee and ProLink GPS are included for a $40 fee....that's a $15 discount for residents and $25 discount for our out-of-town guests.
$40 for the golf + $20 for the game =
$60 for great fun and camaraderie!!
