What is the Knight(s) in Need Program?
The Marian High School Knight(s) in Need Program was established in
1998 to serve the financial needs of Marian families who have been
financially impacted as a result of the death, disability, or sustained
illness of an immediate family member.
Since the program's inception in December of 1998, what has the program been able to accomplish? |
- Raising $47,150
- Providing general assistance to 21 Marian families
- Giving the Marian High School alumni, current students, and their families an opportunity to reach out to those most in need
- Fulfilling the mission of Marian High School and our patron
saint, Mary, by providing service to those less fortunate than ourselves

Testimonial from Marian Alumni, Josh Hackett
"My dad passed away April 1, 1999, second semester of my freshman year.
From that point on I was adopted by the entire Marian community.
Numerous Marian families took me in and provided me with support and
guidance. My teachers, coaches, and the Marian administration
consistently pushed me in the classroom always monitoring my progress.
When I stumbled they were there to pick me up and push me forward yet
making me earn everything along the way. Even though I received a
social security check due to my father's death, there were plenty of
times I needed financial assistance. That's when the Knight(s) in Need
Program stepped in and gave me a much needed helping hand. As Coach
Glon said, "The Knight(s) in Need Program has helped you more than you
will ever know". Mr. Brettnacher made a promise to my dad that I
would graduate from Marian High School. Thanks to the entire Marian
family and the Knight(s) in Need Program, I know my dad is happy and
proud of what we have accomplished."
